In March 1996, The Regents redelegated to the President for the first time the full responsibility for naming of University properties, programs, and facilities. The partial authority redelegated by the President in this delegation remains effective. See June 14, 1996 letter from Vice President Baker to Chancellors for more information.

Delegation of Authority--Policy on Naming University Properties, Programs, and Facilities

At the meeting of July 16, 1993, The Regents approved a revised Policy on Naming University Properties, Programs, and Facilities, which states in part as follows:

Effective immediately, within your areas of responsibility you are authorized to name University properties, programs, and facilities that fall within the President's above authority.

This authority may not be redelegated.
