Section 100.4(w) of the Standing Orders of The Regents provides as follows:
100.4 Duties of the President of the University
(w) The President is authorized to write off against funds received from the Federal Government in reimbursement of indirect costs, routine disallowed claims under grants and contracts.
Effective immediately, you are delegated authority to write off such disallowed claims up to and including the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000) per claim. The Vice President of the University has been delegated authority to write off disallowed claims above this amount. Any redelegation of the foregoing authority shall be in writing with copies to the Secretary of The Regents, the Assistant President-Coordination and Review, and the Vice President of the University.
Vice President McCorkle has asked Chief Accountant Pastrone to issue any needed implementing and reporting procedures for actions taken under this authority.
This supersedes the authority delegated to Chancellors and the Academic Vice President on August 8, 1975.
