Delegation of Authority--National Aeronautics and Space Administration Contract, Berkeley Campus

At the meeting on May 19, 1989, The Regents authorized the President to solicit, approve, and execute a new contract and any subsequent amendments, modifications, or renewals of that contract from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration in the approximate amount of $18.8 million in constant 1989 dollars (estimated to total $23 million in actual dollars) for a period of nine years and eight months commencing October 1, 1989 for a project entitled Spectroscopic Investigations with a Reflection Grating Spectrometer on the ESA X-Ray Multi-Mirror Mission, Berkeley campus.

Effective immediately, as Chancellor of the Berkeley campus you are authorized to solicit and accept any amendments, modifications, or renewals subsequent to the initial contract subject to the terms of the May 19, 1989 Regental authorization, a copy of which is attached.

Any redelegation of this authority shall be in writing, with copies to the Senior Vice President--Business and Finance, the Special Assistant--Coordination & Review, the General Counsel and Vice President for Legal Affairs, and the Secretary of The Regents.
