Delegation of Authority--Global Film School Agreement
At their meeting of January 18, 2001, The Regents authorized the President to approve and execute an affiliation agreement among The Regents, the Australian Film, Television and Radio School, and the National Film and Television School of Great Britain, to create the Global Film School, Inc. The President was also authorized to approve and execute other agreements and amendments to the affiliation agreements as may be necessary to bring the affiliation agreement into effect.
Pursuant to the authority granted to me and in response to your letter of September 4, 2001, I am delegating authority to you to approve and execute other agreements and amendments to the affiliation agreement as may be necessary to bring the affiliation agreement into effect. The campus should maintain a close relationship with the General Counsel of The Regents as to legal sufficiency of any such agreements and amendments.
To ensure that the General Counsel, the Secretary and I are fully informed about this enterprise, I am requesting that an annual written report, either in memo or freestanding format, be sent to me by September 30 of each year regarding the formation and ongoing activities of the Global Film School in the preceding academic year ending June 30. The need for such reports may be revisited and as deemed appropriate, terminated effective with the 2005-06 year.
Any redelegation of this authority shall be in writing, with copies to the Senior Vice President--Business and Finance, the Special Assistant--Coordination & Review, the General Counsel and Vice President for Legal Affairs, and the Secretary of The Regents.
