Delegation of Authority--Approyal of Leaves of Absence for Academic Appointees
Academic Personnel Manual 750-24-b states that leaves of absence with partial pay for more than 30 days for service to governmental agencies require approval of the President. Academic Personnel Manual 758-24-b states that leaves of absence with pay for more than 12 months, other than for sick leave, require approval of the President.
As Senior Vice President--Academic Affairs, effective October 1, 1983 you are authorized to approve, for academic appointees, leaves of absence with partial pay for more than 30 days for service to governmental agencies and other leaves of absence with pay for more than 12 months, other than for sick leave. Any redelegation of this authority shall be in writing with a copy to the Director--Coordination and Review.
This supersedes President Saxon's letter to Vice President Kleingartner of July 15, 1981, Approval of Leaves of Absence with Pay for Academic Appointees.
