Delegation of Authority--Execution of Agreement with Cargill, Inc. Regarding Assumption of Third-Party Liability , Santa Barbara Campus
On June 7, 2001, The Regents authorized the President to execute an agreement with Cargill, Inc., a corporate land owner in the San Jose area, that contains indemnification language that might require assumption by University of third-party liability (authority for which is reserved to The Regents under Standing Order 100.4(dd)(9)).
The authority granted to the President under the June 7, 2001 Regents' action is hereby redelegated to you.
This agreement must be executed in accordance with applicable University policies and procedures governing such an agreement, including, but not limited to, Business and Finance Bulletins, University policies, and relevant guidelines issued by the appropriate functional area offices within the Office of the President. This agreement must be approved as to legal form by the General Counsel and Vice President for Legal Affairs.
