Delegation of Authority--To Designate Holders of Presidential Chairs
Academic Personnel Manual Section 265 states in part that holders of Presidential Chairs shall be designated by the President.
Effective immediately, you are authorized to designate holders of Presidential Chairs, in accordance with regularly established University procedures for faculty appointments. Funds allocated to support the Presidential Chair program will continue to be provided annually to Chancellors through the normal budget process. In addition, support for each chair will continue to be equivalent to the income from a $250,000 share of the program fund.
