The University's Materiel Management Program is designed to meet the needs of faculty and staff members who require a wide variety of supplies, equipment, and services.
On May 28, 1970 I delegated to each of you within your areas of jurisdiction certain specified authorities concerning purchase contracts and purchase orders. The Vice President--Business and Finance will issue a series of Business and Finance Bulletins to implement the University Materiel Management Program in accordance with University policy and the provisions concerning this subject set forth in the Standing Orders of The Regents.
These implementing Bulletins will supersede the University of California Purchasing Policy Manual issued by the Vice President--Business in July 1964.
