Delegation of Authority--Use of Animals in Research and Teaching

Effective immediately and pursuant to the October 15, 1984 University Policy on the Use of Animals in Research and Teaching, you are hereby delegated the following responsibilities:

1.

implementation of the University Policy on the Use of Animals in Research and Teaching, including assuring compliance with policy and responsibility for developing modifications; revisions, or exceptions to policy, as appropriate.

2.

informing and advising me on issues of a University-wide nature relating to the care and use of animals, including proposed State and Federal regulations and legislation.

This delegation is issued to you as Senior Vice President--Academic Affairs. Any redelegation of this authority shall be in writing with copies to the Director--Coordination and Review.
