The Associate Vice President - Information Technology Services develops and publishes policies applicable to information technology at the University of California, including the Information Systems series of the Business and Finance Bulletins. The IS bulletin series was launched in 1985 primarily to address procedural matters between the Office of the President and the UC campuses regarding administrative computing. Several bulletins have been updated and new ones are being developed to reflect the broader scope and impact of information technology within the University enterprise today.
The AVP-ITS is also responsible for related policies, guidelines, and recommended practices for the electronic environment:
- Electronic Communications Policy PDF
- Management Guide for Information Security at UC
For questions about the IS bulletins and other policies related to information technology, contact Systemwide IT Policy Director Robert Smith.
